Standing in an industrial wasteland, this 1,300m of the old Wall – the longest remaining section – provides an interesting glimpse into Berlin’s recent history. Admire this open-air art gallery by walking from one end of the wall to the other: the fresco painted in 1990 by artists from around the world depicts the division of the town. Among the most famous scenes, note the Bruderkuss, the kiss exchanged between Honecker and Brezhnev. The morning light is best for photos.
