Friedrichswerder Church –Schinkel Museum Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

This impressive neo-Gothic brick church was built by the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel between 1824 and 1830.The doorway is decorated with medallions, and the inner vaults and stone pillars painted in false marble (bricks, ribs). The delicate terracotta work comes from the Academy of Architecture. The Friedrichswerdersche Kirche now houses the Schinkel Museum, which presents the work of this artist who, more than anyone else, has shaped the city of Berlin.
