Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Standing in the centre of the Breitscheidplatz, the Kaiser-Wilhem-Gedächtniskirche is often referred to by locals as the “hollow tooth”. All that remains of the original neo-Romanesque church built between 1890 and 1895 by Franz Schwechten and dedicated to Emperor William I is the ruined bell tower. The new church and bell tower were designed by Egon Eiermann (1959-61) and are now one of the symbols of Berlin. The blue stained glass windows inside the church were made in Chartres.
