Cafés and restaurants are dotted along the waterfront on the Paul-Lincke-Ufer side of this canal, while a Turkish market is held every Tuesday and Friday on the Maybachufer side. The Plan Ufer is lined with large trees and attractive Jugendstil façades. On the other side of the bridge stands the Kottbusser Ufer synagogue, desecrated by the Nazis - only one wing now remains. On this bank, note the inner courtyards of n°s 38 and 44 which have fine gardens and buildings designed by Inken and Hinrich Baller from 1982-84.
