The rocky peak on the left of the Großer Arber dominates the Schwarzer Regen depression with an extended view of the border region. The right-hand peak affords a splendid view of the Lamer Winkel to the north and the wooded rolling hills of the Bayerischer Wald. The road, skirting the Grosser Arbersee lake surrounded by pines, runs down the edge of the wooded slopes of the south face of the Arber, with several viewpoints commanding the Zwiesel basin.
