This church, originally Gothic in style, was extensively renovated in rich Baroque style between 1676 and 1698. Note the altar, combining Renaissance and Gothic features. In the princes' vault lie the remains of the Celle branch of the princes of Guelph, whose commemorative stones are to be found in the chancel.
