Follow the banks of the Moselle to get to this site, one of the Rhineland's most famous sites: overlooking the river, the castle crowns a vine-covered hill. It was restored in the medieval fashion in the 19C after the 17C destructions, the keep dungeon and the foundations of the walls being the only parts that survived the 1689 destruction. The interior is furnished in a plush feudal style.
