This collection of art from the Far East was founded in 1909 and is the oldest of its kind in Germany. It covers periods from the Stone Age to the 20C. In particular, see the Chinese bronzes chinois (16 -12C BC) and Buddhist sculptures and paintings from China and Japan (6 -16C). Also enjoy the Japanese screens decorated with scenes from annual festivities.
