Situated in the middle of the Jewish quarter, this building has a 16 metre high Gothic tower with a peal of bells and an Italian Renaissance Pavilion forming the porch. The names of the surrounding streets (Jugengasse, Salomonsgasse) show the existence of the Jewish ghetto that was burned down during a pogrom in 1349. Only the Mikwe (1170) with its green pyramid was spared. It is a building reserved for ritual bathing.
