A monumental fountain in the middle of the castle gardens (Donauquelle) marks the place of what is considered to be the official source of the Danube. The river flows for nearly 2 850km before it reaches the Black Sea.

    On dit LA source du Danube mais il s'agit en réalité de la réunion de deux rivières ayant vraiment chacune leur source: la Breg et la Brigach qui, les malheureuses, perdent leur identité et échappent à l'Histoire. Ayons une pensée pour elles...
