The museum, which is installed in the former town hall, tells the history of East Frisia through a variety of exhibits: peat bog digs, models of the harbour and fishing boats and paintings by the Dutch School. Pride of place is given to the collection in the former weapons' room: swords, daggers and armour from the 16C to the 18C. Enjoy the view from the tower over the harbour and the surrounding countryside.
