Husum : Michelin's recommendations

The native town of the writer Theodor Storm (1817-1888) has been subject to assaults from the North Sea throughout its history. Today, the «grey town by the sea» is both the largest trading and fishing port on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein, the economic heart of North Frisia and a modern tourist resort. The inner port lies right inside the town. The Grossstrasse contains several old merchants' houses with high and sometimes graduated gables.
