The church was built at various periods between the 11C and 17C, which accounts for the lack of unity in its appearance.The panels of the main doors in the façade are decorated with bas-reliefs of scenes from the life of Christ. Note St Maurice's Chapel (13C) housing the Holy Sepulchre, a remarkable sculpted piece from the High Middle Ages featuring three iconographic cycles. The crypt contains the golden plaques of Constance representing Christ, the eagle of St John, St Conrad and St Pelagius.
