Situated in the former headquarters of Leipzig’s Stasi administration, this contemporary history exhibition Stasi - Power and Banality gives an overview of the methods applied by the Ministry of State Security, which employed 85,000 people to record the movements of East Germany’s citizens. Founded by the Citizens’ Committee of Leipzig, the exhibition gives a sense of the atrocities committed in the former GDR.
