The mighty castle of Brake was built between the 12C and 19C, although the predominant style is Weser Renaissance. Thus it was natural for the Weserrenaissance-Museum to be established here. The museum tellingly illustrates the various aspects of art and culture since the Reformation and up to the Thirty Years War.
