This building stands its elegant, dark and varnished brick construction on a gallery of arcades (1250) in the old town tradition. In front of the north wing a Renaissance frontage of sandstone was added. At the end of the east wing, the Neues Gemach (1440) is covered with an openwork wall. Go through the arcades to see the Renaissance style stone staircase on Breite Strasse.
