This extensive 140ha park created for the 1999 horticulture exhibition boasts a lake, themed gardens, butterfly house, summer toboggan run and superb vantage points. The park’s most interesting landmark is the millennium tower, at 60m the tallest wooden tower in the world. An interactive exhibition charts 6 000 years of scientific and human history. The visit begins with protohistory and prehistory on the bottom level, spiralling up to the future on the sixth floor.
