Meissen castle (1471) is one of the finest secular buildings in the Flamboyant Gothic style. Between 1710 and 1865 it housed the National Porcelain Factory. Admire the beautiful winding staircase which adorns the façade. Inside, in the many rooms decorated with frescoes illustrating Saxony's history, are historical documents and works of German art, principally from the 16C.
