In the Meissen Marketplace stands the late Gothic town hall (1472-1478), surrounded by fine homes built in the Gothic and Renaissance styles. Among these, the Hirschhaus, with its fine doorway, stands out. A few steps off the square, don't miss the Drapers' Gate (Tuchmachertor) and brewery (Brauhaus), both from the late Renaissance.
