This is the only fortified perimeter wall in Germany that is fully intact and accessible. It is reinforced by fortified gates and towers, some with elegant helmet-shaped roofs. Walk around the watch path, which has eleven defensive towers, between the Berger Tor, the Alte Bastei (Old Bastion) and the Reimlinger Gate.
