The old Castle of the Burgraves was completed in the 12C by the Kaiserburg. The current look of the castle, sitting on its sandstone rock, dates back to the 15 and 16C. From the exterior court and the keep, there is an exceptional view of the old town. Among the various buildings to visit, prioritise the Imperial Chapel, a double Romanesque chapel with a gallery where the emperor used to observe his assembly.
