This sober, elegant Baroque construction was built on the remains of an older church. A restful, harmonious atmosphere prevails inside. The high altar and side altars date from 1740, while the Renaissance crucifix in the chancel chapel was made in 1521. A neo-Classical marble and stucco pulpit and a Rococo screen both demonstrate the talent of their craftsmen. A group of stone statues depicting Jesus on the Mount of Olives dates back to 1524 and is visible in a small park next-door.
