This pleasantly proportioned building immediately catches the onlooker's eye. The town coat of arms and the double eagle over the pediment hark back to the town's past when it belonged to Austria up until 1805. Since 1989 a 25-bell set of chimes rings out over 100 melodies to the delight of the townspeople. The two bronze bird-men whirling on their stone bases on the square are the work of two local artists.
