These romantic gardens, designed by Lenné, are dotted with eclectic neo-Gothic buildings: the Steam-Powered Pump House (Dampfmaschinenhaus), which supplied water to the fountains, Little Castle (Kleines Schloss), anterior to Schloss Babelsberg, Sailors' House (Matrosenhaus), used for the King's boats, not forgetting the Court Arbour (Gerichtslaube), an authentic 13C monument originating from Berlin, and given to the King, who had it rebuilt it in his park. Flatowturm is a neo-Gothic tower that affords a pretty view over the centre of Potsdam.
