The original Romanesque features of this old Benedictine abbey (8C) is hardly recognisable from the pompous Baroque restyling. Only the vast porch and sculptures on the double portal through which you will pass to enter the building show this church's Romanesque origins. The sculptures are some of the oldest in Germany (11C) Inside, you will find some important funerary monuments, most notably the tombstone of Queen Hemma.
