Situated in the middle of a huge park bordering the Warnow estuary, the Schiffahrtsmuseum (Shipping Museum) is housed in an old 10 000t-cargo ship, MS Dresden. In addition to a huge engine room, the museum is also home to an exhibition which examines the history of shipping in the Baltic Sea, as well as naval construction and leisure sailing. Visitors also have the opportunity to visit one of the few boats built entirely from concrete (1943).
