The Gothic part of the town hall, its gable topped by a 60m-high belfry, is 14C, while that facing Marktplatz, with its octagonal staircase, is Renaissance. The Imperial Gothic hall, vaults (museum) and belfry, which commands a fine view of the town, are open to the public. In the north of the market square (Marktplatz) stands an ancient inn whose gable features an animated clock.
