Rübeland : Michelin's recommendations

This area is mainly known for its limestone caves and grottoes formed by erosion; Hermann's Grotto is open to the public (see the Chamber of Crystals and the small pond). Nearby is the impressive maze of rock masses of Bodetal Valley. The most spectacular site is, without doubt, the Roßtrappe (The Charger's Hoofmark), which provides a view of the stream tumbling between rocky crags and the distant woods. A short distance away, the rugged forest landscape is a honeycombed with interesting footpaths.
