This monument was built between 1877 and 1883 to commemorate the re-establishment of the German Empire in 1871. At the foot of the statue of Germania we see Kaiser Wilhelm I, Bismarck, the German princes and the armies. From the monument, the view stretches over the vineyards to the heights of the Palatinate.
