Schwarzenberg : Michelin's recommendations

Perched on a rocky spur, the old town nestles around the castle and church. Next to the castle dating from the early 15C stands the Baroque church of St. George (1690-1699) with a broad and generously decorated nave: an elegant pulpit, a wrought-iron grille separting the chancel from the nave and a delicately carved ceiling with cherub figures. The fortress was erected in the 12C and converted into the Elector's hunting lodge in the 16C. Nowadays it harbours the castle museum.
