Tittmoning has preserved the remains of its medieval fortifications and a castle that was once the residence of the Prince-Bishops of Salzburg. Two old fortified gateways give access to the wide Stadtplatz: brightly painted facades, emblazoned fountains and oriel windows lend considerable charm to the ensemble.
