The vast Gothic cathedral has an enormous central portion with five aisles covered with fan vaulting. A graceful Swabian work of 1510, the Virgin of the Crescent Moon, stands in St. Elizabeth's chapel off the south aisle.

The council chamber is decorated with great finesse in the Gothic manner: panelled walls embellished with projecting arches, a ribbed and slightly rounded ceiling.

The square lies between the Gothic cathedral, the north façade of the town hall and the Renaissance municipal chancellery.

Among the exhibits in the municipal museum is a collection of cribs and miniature 18C wood carvings in the folk tradition depicting episodes from the life of Christ.
