The German Alpine Road extends from Lindau to Berchtesgaden. From Lake Constance to the Königssee, you will cross the foothills of the Allgäu and Bavarian Alps, passing on the way the mountains of Zugspitze (2 964m) and Watzmann (2 712m). The route combines the splendours of mountain scenery with the visit to famous monuments such as the Wieskirche and the castles of Ludwig II of Bavaria near Füssen. The only difficulty is in deciding where to stop!
