Heppenheim is a small town on the Bergstrasse, an ancient road winding around the foot of the Odenwald Mountains. The Marktplatz, dominated by the huge neo-Gothic church known as the «Bergstrasse cathedral», owes its charm to two wooden buildings with corner oriels: the town hall and the Liebig pharmacy.
