From the belevdere tower at 620m, there is a fine panorama of the hillocky Rothaargenbirge massif right over to Kahler Asten. After passing through the bucolic landscape of the Lenne Valley, you reach the villages of Grafschaft and Oberkirchen. The region then becomes wilder and more hilly. After Nordenau (a typical Upper Sauerland village with slate-roofed houses) and Altastenberg, you reach Kahler Asten.
