Landshut castle, perched on a rocky spur, became the property of the archbishops of Trier in the 11C. It has been in ruins since the end of the Palatinate War of Succession. From here there is a fine panoramic view over the bend in the Moselle, over which even the steepest slopes are planted with vines.
