Queen Cunegonde of Bohemia founded this convent of nuns attached to the Cistercian Order in 1234. Built in the late 17C and early 18C, the edifice surprises due to its dimensions and its contrasting tints (white and dark red). The Bohemian influence can be seen clearly on the west façade, with its portico. In contradiction with the Cistercian rule, the convent church has a tower. The interior was decorated in neo-Romanesque style by members of the Nazarene School.
