Situated in the Assembly Rooms basement, the museum presents a wide variety of styles, fabrics and patterns used in every sort of attire and accessory, from the Stuart period to the present day. Note in particular the museum's oldest garment, the Silver Dress dating from the 1660s and the selection of superb gloves.
