Smart Georgian mansion with a pleasant garden-facing terrace and a summer house; which has recently undergone a stylish refurbishment. Service is formal and efficient. Classically based menus showcase excellent quality produce and display subtle contemporary twists; flavours are distinct and combinations are carefully judged. The spacious bedrooms have French country styling.

      Pros

An excellent reception in a room more than suitable for an aperitif in relaxed and comfortable surroundings. Informed staff with good attention to detail and a talented chef produces a combination of relaxed dining and excellent food. Presentation is first class and creative use of local and seasonal produce sets this restaurant apart. A superb wine list with skilled and often surprising choices from the sommelier when matching wine to menu makes for a memorable occasion.
