Blackpool : Michelin's recommendations
Thanks to the railway, thousands of holidaymakers have flocked to Blackpool every year since 1846. Today, about a third of its tourists come in the autumn, to see the famous glistening Blackpool illuminations. Popular leisure facilities include beaches that seem to go on forever, three piers or the fun park. A tramway, unique in Britain today, runs along the promenade's 11km, then continues towards the port of Fleetwood.
