In 1879, Bournville became the home of the Cadbury company's successful relocated cocoa factory, as its Birmingham plant had become too cramped. The Quaker Cadbury brothers moved it to the rural outskirts, on the Bournbrook estate. Cadbury World is particularly popular with children, not only because parties are held there, but because they can sample chocolate and are keen to learn about production and packaging methods.
