The Roman auxiliary fort of Segontium, overlooking Caernarfon town, is one of the most famous in Britain. The remains of the Roman buildings are on view to the public. The museum tells of the conquest and occupation of Wales by the Roman army. Also displayed are finds excavated on the site which reveal much about daily life in this remote Roman outpost.
