Listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site owing to its geological interest, the Jurassic Coast, which stretches for 150km/93mi between the east of Devon and Dorset, illustrates impressive geological traces, such as rocks dating back some 185 million years. Rich in fossils and dinosaur footprints, it provides a precious study zone for specialists covering three ages: Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous.
