Using contemporary technology (video, interactive screens etc), this inspired museum evokes the life of boatmen in all their guises during the golden age of Britain’s canals in the 18C, dealing with types of boat, life aboard, waterside flora and fauna, and how tourism gave it all a new lease of life. End the visit by looking over the old waterfront buildings.
