Hebden Bridge : Michelin's recommendations
This village is named after the bridge across Hebden Water. Originally stone-built in 1510, it was later replaced by a wooden bridge. Many windmills and the Rochdale Canal have recently been restored. Not far from the canal, on the east side of town, is Walkleys Mill, a Victorian building dating back to 1870 which houses various crafts shops. Explanations are provided on the production of clogs, honey and coins.
