Medieval, though much restored, the Witham flows through its Norman arches (the "Glory Hole") and beneath the half-timbered houses on the bridge itself. Upriver is Brayford Pool, Lincoln's medieval port and downriver are two historic inns, the 14C "Green Dragon" and the 15C "Witch and Wardrobe".
