Pier Head : Michelin's recommendations

To be filled with the Liverpool and Mersey spirit, look towards Water Street with your back to the river. The three huge buildings, the Port of Liverpool Building with its verdigris dome, built in 1907 and the neighbouring buildings the Cunard Building (1913) and the Royal Liver Building (1908) with its famous Liver Birds which surmount its domes, are, even more so than the Cathedrals, the most famous Liverpudlian symbols.

Arriving in Liverpool by the ferry is the only way to experience the waterfront. Plenty of restaurants & bars within walking distance. Liverpool One is 10 mins walk. Albert Dock only 5 mins.

Windy most days. Take a sweater!
