Llanberis : Michelin's recommendations

Dominated by its slate quarries, this little town is best known as the starting point for the narrow-gauge mountain railway leading to Snowdon. It also has attractions of its own, notably the Welsh Slate Museum, a branch of the National Museum, housed in the engineering workshops of the great Dinorwig Quarry.
