Chirk Castle was constructed in 1295 and has been occupied ever since. This great fortress with its beautiful State Rooms has constantly been adapted to changing needs. Chirk stands in a landscape park of great splendour, but the most distinctive feature are the wrought iron gates made at nearby iron works.
