  nothing really - pretty average and does not deserve bib gourmand

  Cons

  Food was cold or tepid. Grilled duck hearts were served uncooked. Cassoulet was made with english sausage (no garlic) and bacon. Veal kidneys were undercooked and were swimming in some green gunge. Service slow. It took about 15 minutes for wine to arrive and further 15 minutes for water. Waitress knocked down the wine glass on our table and then brought replacement wine with the words “this is on the house”. “Discretionary” service charge 12.5% was automatically added to the bill.   Pros

  Comptoir Gascon has a very nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly and efficient. Although I had once a bad experience (cassoulet burnt), food is of good quality.

  Wine is very expensive even for average bottle

  - rustic dishes (a bit like terroirs, brawn, etc) - comfortable surroundings - loved the chocolate dessert
